Description

Día 1: Arrival at Torres del Paine National Park – Trekking Torres Base

The day begins with an early departure from Puerto Natales by vehicle to the welcome center,  where the first walk of the tour begins, “Trekking Base Torres”, the most classic and emblematic postcard of the national park, with the imposing 3 granite towers and the lagoon at its foot.

This is a trek of approximately 9 hours round trip, of medium-high intensity, where we start walking along the edge of the great Asencio valley, to later enter a magical Lenga forest and end up climbing a beautiful glacial moraine to finally reach the long-awaited Base Torres viewpoint, where we will have time to have lunch and take pictures. After that, we begin the return journey using the same uphill trail until we reach the Chilean refuge camping area or the central refuge depending on availability at the time of booking.

  • Distance: 24 Kms. // Time: 8 – 9 hours
  • Difficulty level: Medium – High
  • Accommodation: Central Tower Sector
  • Meals: Breakfast, box lunch and dinner

Día 2: Trekking to Los Cuernos or Francés

We start the hike early towards the “French Refuge” or “Horns Refuge” sector depending on availability. This is a 5 to 6 hour trek of moderate intensity, where we must bring all our camping equipment to spend the 2nd night in any of these sites. Upon arrival we can rest, have lunch and prepare for the next day.

  • Distance: 14.5 kms (to French refuge) // Time: 4 – 6 hours
  • Difficulty level: Medium
  • Accommodation: Cuernos or French Sector
  • Meals: Breakfast, box lunch and dinn

  • Distancia: 15 kms (Domos francés– mirador – refugio paine grande) / 17 kms (refugio cuernos – mirador – refugio paine grande)
  • Tiempo: Mirador : 7 – 8 hrs
  • Nivel de dificultad: Media
  • Alojamiento:  Sector Paine Grande
  • Comidas: Desayuno, box lunch y cena
Día 4: Trekking a Grey

  • Tiempo: Mirador: 4 -5 hrs.
  • Nivel de dificultad: Media.
  • Alojamiento: Sector Refugio Grey.
  • Comidas: Desayuno, box lunch y cena.
Día 5: Trekking a Paine Grande – Catamarán - Regreso a Puerto Natales

We will take it easy this day, as it is the last night in the park. We will wake up early to have breakfast, enjoy this beautiful place and begin the return to the Paine Grande sector. We must start the walk at a reasonable time since we must take into consideration that we have to arrive at the last departure of the catamaran before 6:00 p.m.

Once we cross to the other side of Lake Pehoé there will be a bus waiting to take us back to Puerto Natales.
